Privacy and data

What is stored, what is never stored, and how to delete it all.

What is never stored

Your raw journal text and your voice recordings. They are processed as you speak and then gone. Only the structured insights, such as the thoughts, emotions and stressors identified in an entry, are saved to your account.

What is stored

Your account details, your profile, the structured insights from your entries, your session work such as thoughts and beliefs you have examined, and your questionnaire responses if you have completed one. Health data read from Apple Health stays on your device.

Who can see it

You. Unloop is GDPR-aligned and EU-hosted. If you came through an organisation, they receive cohort-level aggregates only, with a minimum group size, and never anything identifiable. If you came through a clinic, you are being recommended a tool, not entering a data-sharing arrangement.

How to delete everything

In the app, go to Settings, then Account and Data, then Delete Account. Your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except anything we are legally required to keep.

If you stop using it

After 24 months of inactivity we email you. If nothing happens within 30 days of that, the account and its data are deleted.
